FixIt SA (Pty) Ltd ("FixIt SA", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Identity documents and certificates submitted for verification are stored temporarily in private, encrypted storage. Documents are reviewed by FixIt SA staff only. Once verification is complete, the original document files are permanently deleted. We retain only a verified status (true/false) and the date of verification. Documents are never shared with third parties.
We use your zip code to calculate distances between homeowners and professionals. We do not track your real-time GPS location.
We do not sell your personal information. Limited information is shared only as necessary to operate the platform. We use Supabase for secure data storage and Resend for transactional emails.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting privacy@fixitsa.co.za.

FixIt SA is a marketplace connecting homeowners with trade professionals. FixIt SA is not a party to any agreement between Homeowners and Professionals and does not employ or control Professionals.
You must be 18 or older to use FixIt SA. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must provide accurate information when registering.
FixIt SA charges Professionals a 10% platform fee on the invoiced amount for completed jobs, payable via EFT within 14 days.
FixIt SA provides a protection guarantee of up to R50,000 per job covering homeowners against damages caused by verified Professionals acting through the platform. Terms and conditions apply.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixIt SA is not liable for the quality of work performed by Professionals or disputes between users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
